Child'space Method

Contact May directly about classes or to make an appointment.

I love being with babies and children. After training in the  Feldenkrais Method, I went on to do training in Chicago with Dr. Chava Shelhav in the Child'Space Method, to gain more skills working with babies and children. Chava developed Child'Space using her training in the Feldenkrais Method and after taking her Masters in Education at Boston University (with a focus on children with cerebral palsy) and her PhD from the University of Heidelberg (where her thesis examined the effects of the Feldenkrais Method on learning processes and other aspects of childhood). A link to the main Child'Space website is below.

The Child'Space Method can be done in private one-to-one sessions or in group classes. The group classes are a place where parents can come with their babies and learn how to support their baby's development during the first year (and beyond). Parents learn to observe and recognize what their baby is doing in between the developmental milestones and that this is where the important action is, in terms of learning, integrating and refining their physical and cognitive abilities. Classes are also a great opportunity to hang out with other parents and babies and observe how different each baby is and how each child has its own pace of development.

Private sessions are great for babies and children with special needs, providing attention tailored to their specific issues.
